Full Description

Longacre Green is shown as a small triangular green on Hodskinson's Map of Suffolk 1783 (named as Langacre Green) with possibly three farmsteads/houses on its margins. Appears to have been enclosed by the time of the OS 1st edition map (circa 1837). Galley's Farm, on the south side of the green, shown on the provisional edition 1: 10560 map, has now disappeared, leaving only Longacre Green Farm on the north side (S1).
