Monument record EBV 008 - Medieval artefact scatter of pottery sherds in a cliff.

`C13-C14 sherds in cliff', marked on 6 inch record map by (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s) in 1982. (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s) also states he `had been carefully observing the medieval ? refuse pit in Easton Cliffs, but now cliff falls and high seas have taken the remaining evidence' (S1).

A Med refuse pit containing many hundreds of pottery sherds - coarse, black ware with occasionally linear incised decoration, thumb prints on some bases and shoulders of pots. Two were almost intact, six inches in height about eight inches in diameter, both heavily encrusted with soot. 1985. Nearly all taken away by visitors. Much more pottery was revealed later in cliff falls, but was not recoverable. Two other almost complete pots came out from this place, both about six inches in height and three inches girth. Plain very dark brown and undecorated (1960)'(S2).
