Description

TM 37 SE SIBTON 2/95 Sibton Park Stables 25.10.51. - II Stables to Sibton Park. Circa 1830. Red brick with white brick facing to the courtyard and the gable ends; roof part slated, part pantiled. Single storey. A main block with flanking wings enclosing a courtyard, with walling and cast iron gates on the fourth side. Lunette windows, various doors; the left hand wing is in residential use and has sash windows and a mid C20 door. The main block has central twin coach doors with pediment over and above the roof a square clock tower with an octagonal semi-circular arched bell turret above; the bell turret has a tall ogee roof surmounted by a weather vane. The gable ends facing forward are pedimented, with a single semi-circular headed window within an arched recess and a porthole window within the tympanum. Listing NGR: TM3752970409
