Description

Little Cornard 1. 5377 Peacock Hall TL 93 NW 11/327 10.1.53. II 2. A C18 timber-framed and plastered house, square on plan. 2 storeys and attics. The south-east front has 3 window range, double-hung sashes with glazing bars. The outer windows are 3-light. A central 6-panel door with a semi-circular fanlight with ornamental fan glazing has wood doorcase with pilasters, a keyetone with angel head and a modillion open pediment. The north-west front has 3 window range, 3-light double-hung sashes with glazing bars on the upper storey and 3-light leaded casements on the ground storey. There is a central 6-panel door with a semi-circular fanlight, pilasters and an open pediment. Roof tiled, hipped, with a wood modillion eaves cornice and 3 flat headed dormers on the main fronts. A chimney stack at the south west end has a panel with the initials S above NS and the date 1798. Many original fittings remain in the interior. Listing NGR: TL9006239049
