Description

BURGH (Off) BOULGE ROAD TM 25 SW (West Side) 2/59 Redhouse Farmhouse G.V. II Farmhouse, now house. C17 with C18 additions. Timber framed with colour washed render and a pantile roof. Three-cell, baffle-entry plan to which a fourth cell has been added. Two storeys and attic. Entrance front: (perhaps originally the rear) projecting C20 gabled porch to left of centre with central door of 6 panels with shaped bargeboards and mace finial above. To left of this is a 3-light ground floor casement of C20 date (as is all the fenestration on this front.) To the right of this are three 2- light ground floor windows and to the first floor are four 2-light casements. Cross-axial stack to left of centre above the porch. The left hand gable end has two 2-light ground floor and two 2-light first floor and a single attic casement windows. To left of this is a C20 addition which has French windows at right and a 3-light ground floor window to left. The first has a 2-light window at right and a 3-light casement window to left. Left hand gable end: outshut with catslide roof at right with a 2-light ground floor casement window. The gable end to left of this has two 2- light ground floor casement windows and one first floor 2-light window. Rear: projecting wing at right and outshut at left, all with C20 fenestration. Interior: close-studding to the rear wall and chamfered ceiling beams with rafters to both floors, and wall posts. Staggered purlins to the roof. Winder staircase between the first and the attic floor. Listing NGR: TM2319052492
