Farmhouse, now divided into 2 dwellings. C17 core, considerably altered c.1860. Timber framed core, entirely encased in mid C19 pale yellow brick; plaintiled roof with crest tiles. 2 storeys and attic. 4-bay facade: the entrance bay is the third from the left and is set slightly forward. Inset sash windows with glazing bars under flat brick arches; tripartite windows to bays 1 and 4; bay 2 has coupled sash windows but must originally have been similar to bay 4, both bays being slightly recessed. French windows on the ground floor. Slightly recessed doorway with inset double 3-panel doors and a segmental fanlight with radial glazing bars; panelled reveals. Moulded stone eaves cornice and crenellated parapet. 3 yellow brick stacks, 2 with dentilled embellishment. The right hand gable end has semi-circular headed sash windows on the ground floor and porthole windows at attic level: this end is later than the main facade. C18 colourwashed brick service wing to rear. Mid C19 staircase with heavy twisted balusters; some floorbeams with double- ovolo moulding and barred stop chamfers. Moated site.
