Description

UGGESHALL TM 48 SE 4/61 Horseshoe Corner - II Farmhouse. Mainly mid C17. Timber framed and plastered, the west gable end of C19 red brick; pantiled roof. 2 storeys and attic. 3 cell form. Various mid C20 casement windows; one 5-light ground floor window with cavetto mullions at the east gable end, probably of C16 date. Plank door. Internal stack. The hall and parlour have chamfered floorbeams and joists with bar stops, the joists being set on edge; both these rooms have large open fireplaces. Newel stairs; some original floorboarding. The frame appears to incorporate re-used material and may have been partly reconstructed from C16 origins. Listing NGR: TM4544281313
