Timber-framed and rendered; plaintiles to front slope of roof, pantiles to rear. An internal chimney-stack with a plain rebuilt red brick shaft. Various old casement windows: 2-light and 3-light to upper floor, 2 with transomes on the ground floor; pintle hinges. 2 plank doors. 2½ bays of the original medieval house remain: the roof was raised in the C16 and there are later extensions at both ends. Full height studs; reversed and ogee braces; remains of diamond-mullioned windows. All the ground floor ceilings are very low: those in the centre and left end of the house have very heavy unchamfered flat joists; to the right of the stack, the joists are set on edge. Roof with 2 rows of stepped butt purlins with pared-off ends; cambered collars. Listing NGR: TM3116683948
