Listed Building: BARN APPROXIMATELY 40 METRES TO NORTH OF ROAD FARM (277303)

TM 13 NW WHERSTEAD TATTINGSTONE ROAD (west side) 3/24 Barn approximately 40 metres to North of Road Farm II Barn. Late C16-early C17 with later additions and alterations. Timber-framed on brick plinth, weatherboarded. Asbestos roof. 5 bays extended by two bays to road end later. North side, plank wagon doors and C20 doors to later addition. Opposed doors under pent roofs. Interior: 5 bays of jowled posts and cambered tie beams with mortices for arch braces, some of which have been replaced by knees. Ground sill, middle rail, studded walls, some tension braces. Clasped purlin roof with wind braces. Listing NGR: TM1399038693
