RECTORY LANE 1. 5377 Shimpling Clockhouse Farmhouse TL 85 SE 4/761 II 2. Originally a C16-C17 timber-framed and plastered house with a cross wing at the west end. Now entirely encased in C19 red brick. 2 storeys and attics. The windows are mainly C19 double-hung sashes (3-light) and some casements. Roof tiled, with a central chimney stack to main block with 3 octagonal shafts on a rectangular base (modern caps). The interior has exposed C16 and C17 timber. Listing NGR: TL8612451362
