Description

COURT STREET 1. 5377 (West Side) Nayland with Wissington No 23 (Stour House) TL 9734 27/667 10.1.53. II GV 2. A C17 timber-framed and plastered house with a C18 brick front, colourwashed. There is a brick fronted addition on the north side. The main block is 4 window range and the addition is 2 window range, double-hung sashes with glazing bars, in shallow reveals. A raised brick band extends between the storeys on the main block. A 6-panel door has plain reveals, pilasters and cornice. There is a carriage entrance to the north addition. Roofs tiled, with a moulded wood eaves cornice to the main block, and a central chimneystack. Listing NGR: TL9743434113
