Farmhouse, built in 2 stages: early and late C16. 2 storeys. 3-cell plan.
Timber-framed and plastered; C20 herringbone pargetting in panels. Hipped
thatched roof: an axial chimney with small twin octagonal C20 shafts of red
brick. Mid C20 casements of 3 lights, those at ground storey with transomes:
leaded lights. Thatched C20 porch at lobby entrance position with boarded and
battened door. At the left hand end is a parlour with very large unchamfered
early C16 floor joists, and close-studding with diamond mullioned window
evidence. At the right hand end the close-studding and smaller chamfered 1st
floor joists are of late C16 type. A lintelled late C16/early C17 open
fireplace in the hall.
