Description

ASHBOCKING THE STREET TM 15 NE 4/7 Blosses II House; C17 with probably C16 core, and C19/C20 alterations. 2 storeys. 3- cell plan, probably once with cross-passage. Timber-framed and plastered. Plaintiled roof with axial and gable chimneys of red brick. Mid C20 small- pane casements and panelled entrance door. Some C16/C17 framing exposed internally: a 4-centred arched doorway of mid C16 type at the east end, and evidence for a missing associated cross-wing. C17 work at the west end reuses C16 components with diamond-mullioned window evidence. C18 clasped-purlin roof. Listing NGR: TM1645055108
