MELLIS THE COMMON (SOUTH EAST TM 07 SE SIDE) 3/35 Rectory Farm House -- II Farmhouse. C16 origins probable with floor and stack inserted in C17, extended C18 or C19, altered C20. Timber frame, plastered. Steeply pitched pantiled roofs. Originally probably a small open hall with additions at both ends to form 3 cells, each separately roofed. 1 storey and attic. C20 3- light casements and a 2-light gabled dormer. Half glazed, half panelled door in left addition which is set back slightly. Axial ridge stack at original left end. Right end external stack, rendered at base. Internal left end stack. C20 additions to rear. Interior not inspected. Listing NGR: TM0962174159
