Barn, c,1550-1570. 3 bays. Timber-framed and weatherboarded. Part corrugated
iron and part asbestos sheeted roof, once thatched; half-hipped both ends. A
gabled C19 midstrey on south side, now containing a pair of boarded doors; on
the north side centre bay is a set of 4 boarded C19 doors. An unusually
complete example of a C16 barn: studwork with prominent arch wind-bracing,
clasped-purlin roof with good wind-bracing. Arch braces missing from open
trusses. Compare barn at Whitehouse Farm, Crowfield (Item 4/9).
