Listed Building: WILLOWS FARMHOUSE (280036)

METFIELD TM 27 NE 6/87 Willows Farmhouse -- II Farmhouse. C16 with early C17 range set forward to right, originally detached. Timber framed, encased in C19 red brick, the left gable end whitewashed. Roof of concrete plaintiles. 2 storeys and attic. 3-cell lobby entry form. 3 windows, 3-light large-paned casements; whitewashed flat arches. Gabled porch of whitewashed brick with C19 half-glazed door. Internal axial stack and a small external stack to right set forward of the roof ridge. Later range is timber framed, part plastered and part encased in brick. In one ground floor room there are geometric carvings on the heads of the storey posts and a crenellated bridging beam.
