Description

WEYBREAD TM 28 SW 1/126 Hill Farm House (150m - north of Corner Farmhouse) -- II Farmhouse. Late C16/early C17 in 2 phases, with C19 alterations. Timber framed, mostly encased in C19 red brick but still plastered at the rear. Roof of glazed black pantiles. 2 storeys and attic. 3-cell, lobby entry type. 3 windows, C19 4-light casements with a single horizontal glazing bar to each light; cambered stuccoed arches with raised keys, C19 door with 6 raised and fielded panels, the upper 2 glazed. C20 open timber porch. Internal stack, the shaft rebuilt in C19 with white brick at the angles. Much of the structure is exposed internally, of good quality; several original windows and good ground floor open fireplaces. Service end enlarged but evidence for original partition. The parlour end and probably the present stack are slightly later additions. Listing NGR: TM2425280995
