The following building shall be added:
HITCHAM B 115 1 5377 TL 9851 48/413 Little Causeway Farmhouse II Farmhouse, now house. C15, remodelled in C17; divided into two dwellings and extended to right in mid C18. Render over timber frame and brick; gabled plain old tile roof with pantiles to rear; brick ridge stacks, finished in C19 brick. C15 open-hall plan, with 2-bay hall to left of probable floored chamber in bays to right, which was incorporated within the mid C18 extension( forming of a 2-unit house with a central lobby entrance. One storey and attic; 3-window range. Blocked door to lobby entrance on right; mid C20 lean-to porch at angle with mid C20 garage extension to left. Mid C20 two and 3-light casements, including two gabled dormers. Mid C20 casements and dormers to rear. Interior: C15 three-bay roof with smoke-blackened rafters: Former open-hall to left of 2 bays, with chamfered wall posts, arch braces and tie beams to crown-post truss with 4-way bracing to collar and collar purlin; C15 smoke-blackened partition dividing hall from bay to right, which probably formed a storeyed chamber end. Hall remodelled in C17 by insertion of chimney stack and first floor with chamfered bressumer over open fireplace and stop-chamfered bean6and joists in room to right and reset late C15 moulded joists and arched doorway in room to left; bay to right end of C15 house has mid C18 softwood beam and joists to ground floor room.
