Description

TL 9273-9373 BARDWELL THE GREEN (North side) 5/12 Littlemoor Hall 14.7.55 - II Farmhouse. C16 and C18. 2 storeys: L-shaped form. Timber-framed and rendered, with plaintiled roof to east-west range, and black glazed pantiles on north-south range. 2 end chimney-stacks to east-west range. Internal chimney stack to north-south range with 4 attached diagonally-set square shafts on a square base. 3-light C20 windows in mullion-and-transome style to ground storey, 3-light casements to upper storey, all with square-leaded panes. In the angle of the 2 ranges, a mid C19 single-storey lean-to in flint and red brick rubble with pantiled roof. The north-south range, in 4 bays, has 2 separate adjoining frames, with the chimney-stack, apparently inserted, linking them. The ground-floor room at the north end has a main beam and cornice of running-leaf design. This range is said to have a crown-post roof. Listing NGR: TL9456473814
