Listed Building: SMALL AISLED BARN AT STANSFIELD HALL (489630)

STANSFIELD 832/0/10036 Small Aisled Barn at Stansfield Hall 31-MAY-02 GV II Barn. C16 with later C17 repairs and C20 alterations. Weatherboarded timber-frame with corrugated sheet mansard roof. Brick plinth. Raised doorway to east elevation. INTERIOR. C16 structure, with later C17 repairs, is largely complete up to arcade plate, including ties. Tall panel framing. Arcade posts are jowled. Bracing from arcade posts to underside of arcade ties and underside of arcade plates. Part of a good farmstead group with large aisled barn at Stansfield Hall (qv) and cartshed and granary at Stansfield Hall (qv), this barn retains a considerable amount of its original framing.
