Description
COCKFIELD CHURCH LANE 1. 5377 Upper Church Farmhouse TL 95 SW 32/257 23.1.58 II 2. A timber-framed and plastered building probably of C16 origin, with C17-C18 additions. Now faced in pebbledash. Roof tiled. The addition at the south end has a lower roof level, and a ridge chimney stack with attached shafts. Two storeys. The north part is jettied on the upper storey on the front. Casement windows with lattice leaded lights. A gabled porch projects on the front, with an original doorway with a 4-centred arched head and a panelled door.
