The following building shall be added:
HENGRAVE TL 86 NW BURY ROAD 4/93 Barn at Grange Farm II
Barn with engine house. Dated 1849. Flemish bond brick with gabled Welsh slate roof to barn and pyramidal Welsh slate roof to engine house. Barn with south aisle, two gabled midstreys flanking polygonal engine house to south. Engine house has semi- circular arched ground-floor openings with bull-nosed brick and two plank left doors; date stone over door reads BURNT 1849/SIR T R GAGE BART/REBUILT 1849. Included as a very rare example of a Suffolk engine house: Mechanization came very late to Suffolk farms due to the persistence well into the C19 of low wage rates.
