A timber-framed and plastered building, probably of C16-C17 origin but largely reconstructed in the late C18. 2 storeys. 3 iwindow range, double-hung sashes with glazing bars, in flush cased frames. The ground storey has a C19 shop front with a central doorway and panelled stallboards and 1 3-light window. Roof slate, hipped. Nos 1 to 8 (consec) with Nos 28, 29 and 31, all the listed buildings in Well Lane, Stone Hall and Nos 36 to 40 (consec) Nethergate Street form a group. Listing NGR: TL7693045278
