Excavation identified Late Bronze Age/Early Iron Age activity, including a scatter of pits, postholes, a roundhouse, a human cremation focused upon two natural peat-filled hollows within the fen-edge landscape.

Small scatter of Med coarse ware sherds (?mostly C13/C14 or later?) found while metal detecting (S1).

Evaluation and excavation identified a Roman enclosure, post and slot building, a villa, wells, ovens, field system and burials.

Evaluation identified two parallel ditches aligned NW/SE, one contained post-medieval pottery. These ditches are on the parish boundary.

Mesolithic Tranchet axe, dug up from allotment by L A Tarrant, 18 inches below surface in sandy loam.

Excavation identified a 16th/17th century domestic building with hearth, possible storage shafts and a rectilinear post-built outbuilding, was also identified fronting onto Skelton's Drove.
