Description

SOUTH ELMHAM ST. JAMES THE STREET TM 38 SW 4/62 Western Farmhouse 1.9.53 - II Farmhouse. Early C19. 2 storeys and attics. White brick front, colour- washed; red brick sides and rear; mid C20 concrete pantiles. Wide eaves overhang with mutule cornice. End chimney-stacks, set within the gables; and flanked by attic windows: old 3-light casements with segmental arches to frames and surrounds. The front is flanked by plain full height pilasters, and the centre breaks forward slightly. 3 window range: small-paned sashes in flush frames with segmental arches. The centre window is set back in a segmental arched recess. Panelled entrance door with 6 sunk panels and applied mouldings, fanlight with radiating glazing-bars, reeded pilasters, panelled linings, and an open triangular pediment. Listing NGR: TM3139481295
