Description

The monument includes a bowl barrow sited on a gentle north east facing slope, approximately 200m to the south of the River Little Ouse. The barrow is visible as an earthen mound, which stands to a height of about 1m and covers a roughly circular area measuring about 27m in diameter. Encircling the mound are a ditch and external bank. The ditch is largely infilled but is marked by a hollow about 0.2m deep and up to 12m wide in the ground surface. The external bank is approximately 9m wide and survives in places up to 0.2m high. The fences on the north west and west sides of the monument and the surface of the trackway to the north west are excluded from the scheduling, although the ground beneath them is included.
