Description

NAYLAND ROAD 1. 5377 (Honey Tye) (East Side) Leavenheath Honey Hall TL 93 NE 12/319 10.1.53. II* GV 2. A C15 timber-framed and plastered hall house with cross wings at the north and south ends. A floor and fire places were inserted in the hall in the C16 or C17. The cross wings are jettied on the upper storey on the west front, on 4 curved brackets. The front has remains of panel pargetting. 2 storeys. The windows are mainly 5 and 4-light old leaded casements. The south cross wing has a bay window built out under the jetty. The interior has exposed timber-framing and an original hall screen wall with arches and an arched doorway (blocked). Roof tiled (old tiles). Listing NGR: TL9559535644
