Description

COCKFIELD BUTTON'S GREEN 1. 5377 Button's Green Farmhouse TL 95 SW 32/251 II 2 Originally a medieval hall house with a cross wing at the south-west end. Floor and fireplaces were inserted in the C16 or C17. A timber-framed and plastered building with a tiled roof (modern) with 2 gabled dormers on the front and a ridge chimney stack. The main block is one storey and attics and the cross wing is 2 storeys with the upper storey jettied on the front. The windows are partly C18 double-hung sashes with glazing bars and partly modern casements. Listing NGR: TL9189153200
