of Cranley Hall

House, now stables. Mid C17, converted to stables C18.
Plastered and tarred timber frame. Ground floor of tarred
flint and brick. Roof of corrugated tiles.
2 storeys. 2-window range. West side with stable door right of
centre flanked by one 4-light mullioned window either side.
Two 5-light ovolo-moulded first-floor mullioned windows.
Gabled roof. No stacks. Weatherboarded rear outshut.
INTERIOR: brick C18 stable floor. Frame with jowled principal
posts. Chamfered bridging beams. Roof with two tiers of butt
purlins, collars and curved windbraces to upper tier of
purlins.
