Description

EYE TM17SE CRANLEY ROAD 585-1/4/88 (South side) Old Stables approx.50 metres north of Cranley Hall GV II House, now stables. Mid C17, converted to stables C18. Plastered and tarred timber frame. Ground floor of tarred flint and brick. Roof of corrugated tiles. 2 storeys. 2-window range. West side with stable door right of centre flanked by one 4-light mullioned window either side. Two 5-light ovolo-moulded first-floor mullioned windows. Gabled roof. No stacks. Weatherboarded rear outshut. INTERIOR: brick C18 stable floor. Frame with jowled principal posts. Chamfered bridging beams. Roof with two tiers of butt purlins, collars and curved windbraces to upper tier of purlins. Listing NGR: TM1528672891
