FRAMSDEN OTLEY ROAD TM 25 NW 5/49 Bastings Hall - II Farmhouse, early and late C17 with C19 service cross-wing. 2 storeys. Originally of 3-cell plan. Timber-framed and plastered. Pantiled roof, formerly thatched, an axial C17 chimney of red brick. C20 casements. C20 pantiled lean-to entrance porch with half-glazed door. Plain early C17 framing exposed in hall and parlour cells; close-studding; windbraced butt- purlin roof, chamfered joists, laid flat above parlour and laid on edge at attic level. Brick arched open fireplaces in parlour, and chamber. The service end was extended in late C17/early C18 and a cross-wing of red brick added in C19. Listing NGR: TM2046858010
