Description
An archaeological evaluation was conducted for Cripps Developments Ltd ahead of the creation of 14 new houses on the site of the former Three Willows Garden Centre. Five trenches were excavated to a depth of 0.5-0.6m and covered the footprint of the buildings. They were excavated through dark grey demolition rubble and redeposited sand topsoil (0.2-0.3m thick), which lay above a mid brown slightly silty subsoil (0.3m thick). No archaeological features or finds were found during the project (S1).
