Description
Evaluation trenching of a small residential development site within the village, revealed no archaeological features or finds. The 30m of trenching at a width of 1.6m revealed a depth of between 0.2m and 0.25m of dark brown sandy topsoil across the site. Below the topsoil a pale yellow to orange sand and gravel natural deposit with a high stone content was exposed in all of the trenches.
