Description
An evaluation comprising 3 trenches measuring 5m x 4m was undertaken on the former bowling green, prior to the construction of five houses. The evaluation showed that prior to the construction of the green, the previously steeply sloping site had been levelled resulting in truncation of SE corner of the site. Apart from a small quantity of pottery recovered from a sub soil deposit, no evidence relating to early activity was recovered.
