Description
A resistivity survey was undertaken in 2004 to look for evidence for the route of a known Roman Road. The first survey took place 29/05/04-16/06/04. The area surveys in Blacksmiths Field and Church field took place 15/09/04 and 21/09/04. A second series of surveys were requested in advance of excavation in Great Hallows pasture took place 10/06-06-04/10/06 which resurveyed three grids in Great Hallows and extending the survey of Church field with a series of 10m wide linear traverses across the line of the Roman Road. In September 2007 a TRCIA Wenner Alpha array and electrical imaging software was used to obtain a veritcal cross-section or pseudo-section of the possible Roman road in Great Hallows garden enclosure (S1).
