Description
In order to characterise the archaeological potential of the site of a proposed new development on land north of Manor Farmhouse, Haverhill, Suffolk, the Heritage Network was commissioned by the owner to undertake an archaeological field evaluation by trial trenching. This work was a requirement of the planning consent granted by the local planning authority. Two trenches were excavated across the site, revealing modern made up and levelled ground and alluvial deposits from a former pond.
