Description
Evaluation trenching in the garden area of a new dwelling erected without complying with a programme of archaeological works revealed a large feature extending throughout the 10m long trench with a later Post medieval fill to a depth of 1.4m. Whether this feature was a large, quarry type pit or a filled-in pond was impossible to ascertain.
