Description

On 23rd April 2012, Oxford Archaeology East carried out an archaeological evaluation on land adjacent to Kiln Lane, Elmswell, Suffolk. This took the form of five 40m x 1.8m trenches and four 20m x 1.8m trenches across the proposed development area. One shallow linear ditch was revealed running north-to-south across the site; no artefacts were recovered from this feature which is likely to be post-medieval, or the subsoil and topsoil extending across the site. The evaluation has demonstrated that no archaeological deposits or artefacts are present on this site.
