Description
Evaluation trenching for a development comprising two detached dwellings revealed a substantial depth of overburden at a site close to the floodplain of the Black Bourn River that would have been on the margin of habitable land in the past. Two trenches 10m x 1.2m were exacavted to a depth of c.1.1-1.3m.
