Description
An archaeological evaluation was carried out on a small car parking area of c.0.1ha. The evaluation consisted of a 10m long by 1.8m wide trench across the centre of the car park. The trench was excavated in two stages. First the modern tarmac and hard-core was removed to reveal modern and post medieval layers. These layers were then removed to uncover features cut into the natural geology (S1).
