It lay beneath an overburden that consisted of three main deposits; a grey dende brown silty sand 0.25cm which was overlain by a 0.8m layer of reddy-brown silty sand. This contained some 19th century brick and tile fragments. This was overlain by a series of layers of sand, ballast, concrete and tarmac to formt he car park subase and surface.
