Description
The second phase of an archaeological evaluation was carried out in advance of proposed sports pitches. This phase was commissioned in an attempt to clarify the nature of some of the features identified during the first phase of work. A total of 16 trenches were positioned with reference to the features that had been found in the first phase. All trenches measured approximately 30m in length. This phase identified pits and ditches similar to those found during phase I (S1).
