Description
Two evaluation trenches were excavated ahead of a proposed development. The trenches were dug to a depth of 0.4m-0.6m. The topsoil layer was 0.2-0.3m deep and the subsoil 0.1-0.2m deep. The trenches consisted of a natural sandy clay sealed by subsoil (S1).
