Description
Archaeological evaluation of 10 trenches within the proposed development area. Nearly all the trenches were 50m long. The topsoil was 0.3m deep with a subsoil approximately 0.25m underneath. The natural geology was a pale yellow fine sand. They revealed four phases of medieval remains from discrete enclosures followed by major land re-organisation to aligned field systems (S1).
