Description
Archaeological monitoring was carried out on the footprint of a proposed pub in advance of a pile mat. A total of c.0.6m was stripped from the southern end of the site. Service trenches measuring c.0.5m wide and c.0.6m deep were also observed. No finds or features of archaeological interest were identified. A geotechnical investigation of the site, comprising of test pits and boreholes, was also carried out.
