Description
Eight trenches each measuring 15mx1.8m were excavated to a maximum depth of 0.32m-0.47m. No archaeological features or finds were identified. The natural sands and gravels were immediately overlain by a layer of subsoil which was mid reddish-brown loose silty sand containin flint and was 0.15-0.25m thick. The subsoil was overlain by topsoil which was mid-dark grey brown firable sandy silt containing frequent flint and was 0.14m-9.22m thick (S1).
