Description
Evaluation trenching for a small residential development did not locate any features except a large pit of recent date and the filled-in part of the existing large roadside ditch, the only stray find of any age was a small sherd of medieval pottery. 9 trenches were excavated to a depth of 0.3-0.6m. The natural glaciofluvial deposit at the site was stiff chalky clay with flints (S1).
