Description
Negative single trench evaluation. This demonstrated chalk subsoil immediately below the concrete over the southern 40% of the area and sand subsoil over the northern 60%. Two hand-dug holes into the sand subsoil showed banded grey and orange sand with chalk subsoil coming up at 50cm below the surface in the northern hole. The whole of the western area appears to have been truncated.
