Description
The site is on the Golf Course at Bungay north of the A1160. The objective was to attempt to establish an outline of the Pest House using resistivity survey. The survey was carried out using a Geoscan Research Resistivity Meter RM4 with a Geoscan Data Logger DL10. Survey squares were set out with sides of 20m and readings taken at 1m intervals using a zigzag method. The extremely dry soil caused a number of false readings to occur due to inadequate contact of the moving probes with the soil and these were eliminated in the computer programme wherever possible however the results concentrates on the analysis of the raw data. The survey has shown that there is a probable presence of a building in the area, although the outline was not discovered completely (S1). Approx area mapped based on NGR TM325905 given in the report.
