Description
An archaeological evaluation was undertaken by Cotswold Archaeology at Barrow CEVCP Primary School in September 2019. A single trench was cut to sample an area for a proposed new classroom block. No features, deposits or finds of archaeological significance were revealed despite the trench being close to a number of metal detector finds and known monuments, mainly of medieval and later date. Examination of the trench sides revealed a full soil profile, undisturbed by modern farming practice or other disturbance.
