Description
2019: An archaeological evaluation in advance of a small residential development revealed no archaeological features and only modern finds. Five trenches were excavated measuring 20.00m x 1.80m. The trenches revealed a 0.25m depth of topsoil above 0.10m to 0.15m of mid brown clay subsoil giving a trench depth of 0.35m to 0.40m above glaciofluvial deposits which were a uniform stiff light brown chalky clay with flints.
